New Changes On Medium

I have been writing almost every day on Medium. Now and then I have seen some changes on this platform.

When ☕️ Rolli wrote his newsletter a while ago, he also mentioned that Medium will make some improvements in 2020. Then I went straight back to my inbox. There it was, an unopened mail from Medium with some announcements and stories to read. I went to the paragraph where they mentioned it briefly.

And since then I was looking for every small detail on my account that had been changed. I believe I haven't found all the changes, but here are the things that I have found.

And yes, I found some improvements I like.

Letter function has changed

To begin with: the letter function has changed in a newsletter function. This is what I like. The layout has been improved in a very modern and light way. I like that. You still write it in the letter function, but the outcome is the newsletter form.

With the letter function, it says ‘Letter’ in the left upper corner. Now it says ‘e-mail’.

Story responses

Also, the look of reacting box to one of another’s story has changed. Now, there is a small box under the story that shows the reaction. Also, you can write under the reaction of the one who reacted. Both, you can see right now. This is a modern look. I love it that I can the story stats there.

Another change is the reaction box on the right of your screen. That is — for me — a huge change. All reactions are still under the other reaction and all collected together. Also, they get a like from me for changing this.
