New beginnings

Wow, 2021…… What an eventful year.
My youngest daughter would have turned 21 in March. It was five years in July since she has been gone and it was the first year we didn’t have a picnic, even though I had planned to have a little concert.
I then found out my 14-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier had a massive tumour, which was too high risk to remove.
My van plan, which I was really looking forward to, didn’t go through.
My mum had numerous appointments at multiple hospitals throughout the year and then sadly we lost her in October.
After taking care of the arrangements and having the funeral and memorial service my dog also went to sleep doing one of the things she loves most, eating peanut butter and banana cookies.
Finally, I had to prepare myself to say goodbye to the flat which I raised my three children in. So there was a lot to be sad about.
However, after being housebound for three years, I finally get to move into a garden flat, which I had been interested in earlier this year.
I am pretty excited and I can’t wait to be in my new home.
It is so frustrating not being able to do any of the things I want to do due to my chronic illness. But hopefully now this really is going to be a fresh start and a new beginning.
