Setting up the Habit Tracker in 2 minutes
There are 2 tabs.
- Setup, where you decide on 2 things that will be repeated throughout the Habit Tracker
- Habit Tracker 2024, where you’ll track your habits.
Setup tab
- Write out habits. In cells B3 to B22, delete the example habits and write out your own. Use one line per habit. Feel free to add emojis. Find the keyboard shortcuts for the emoji keyboard in column G.
- Choose emojis. In column E in cells E3 to E9, choose which emojis you’d like to see when you tick off more habits. Feel free to leave the emojis that are there. Or delete the examples and add your own.
Habits Tracker 2024 tab
- Year to track. In cell D1, write out the year you want to track.
- Weekday start. In cell E2, select from the dropdown whether your weeks start on Sunday or Monday. The headers in the mini calendars will update accordingly.
- Set a target per habit. In column AS, write out how many times you’d like to do your habit per month. Column AT will show you your progress in a percentage.
Uncheck the example habits. And start tracking your own.
Tip: Did you add more than 7 habits in the Setup tab? Then you’ll need to unhide the hidden rows to see them. To unhide these rows, all the way to the left, click on the tiny triangles between rows 9 and 23.
The columns to the right show the
- Total # of times you did a habit this month
- Your current streak
- And longest streak
Thanks to conditional formatting, today’s date will light up in the mini calendars and in the monthly rows (example below).
