. . .reading is hopeful meditation, a revolutionary stand with a sword, so stand up tall, chest out, be Tarzan, and scream. . .

. . .enter a way to mindfully defeat the struggles of life, and create a new way to comment about how smart you are:

❤️ Thank you and tell me how fat my butt has become. . . .

❤️Learning to Love: The Art of Caring

Growing up in Los Angeles in the ghetto was not easy, for I was beaten by gang members, left for dead at times.

Furthermore, I stopped going to school, for I just thought: What is the point?

Even my father would beat me up because my grades were terrible, and I had red welts all over my body from his belts and wires.

Being depressed, I felt school was hell, and being oppressed, I felt home was a volcano full of the fires anger from my dad and red hot lava for being called terrible names.

❤️Having Friends to Help

However, I became a mentor to others, Carlos came to me for hugs and help.

This happened, because I never gave up, for if I am beaten, just wait and give me time, and I will stand up.

❤️I Shall Return

Gang members stopped beating me because they were shocked at my resilience.

I have a secret that I told no one: I couldn’t learn, for school was hell, and the classes made no sense.

I spoke Korea, Spanish and understood some Chinese and Japanese.

So I hid my learning disabilities, so I learned to try again and again

I read and read and read and read, and I prefer to read in Spanish, and I preferred to watch Chinese films, and I loved listening to Korean singers.

And I was an amazing dancer, an amazing gymnast and an amazing street fighter.

❤️I Never Gave Up

One day it all ended, I couldn’t walk because I injured myself in gymnastics.

My mother started to cry and worried about me, for I started to imagine a life in a wheel chair

Slowly as I relearned to walk, my mother took me to acupuncturist to fight the pain.

I knew I had to change, and focus on my education, for I didn’t tell my mother that I stopped going to school.

My teachers were shocked to see me, and I made terrible grades but I returned, in pain.

❤️Thank you for reading. . .

I started to go to UCLA library and study on my own, for I found teachers editions that gave the answers, so I practiced and practiced, and slowly, I taught myself university level courses in high school.

I remember in grade school, hunting down bullies and challenging them.

They always backed down because they saw my intentionality and seriousness.

Because I meant business!

❤️No one was going to stop me: no one!

I survived cancer twice.

To this day, I live from the pain of that terrible fall when I blacked out, for it only gets worse, for my nerve damage in permanent.

Therefore, I have a massage bed, a massage chair, and even in my car, I put a message seat to help my daily pain as I drive.
