Abstract

ce you to read everything I write. But if my topics don’t interest you (it’s okay, I understand), then I will be okay if you stop following me. Or you could mute me if you don’t want me showing up in your feed (but please don’t hurt my feelings by “blocking” me instead).

I’m just looking for my audience. Needed: 100 Readers

….followers are okay, but I need readers more…

Read one of my articles every day for one month. Try it for 30 days, and if you don’t agree that they improve your day in some small way, take advantage of the money-back guarantee!*

While reading this article by Ilam Padmanabhan a realization hit me, that I, too have way more followers than readers. Yes, followers are important for the platform’s rule for earnings. But what good are 1000 followers if you only get 50 reads? Don’t you really need readers instead? Just 100 loyal readers who read about 75% to 80% of the articles you write. Is that so much to ask? What about instead of follow for follow, we agree on read for read?

Now, there’s no way I have to convince you to read everything I write. But if my topics don’t interest you (it’s okay, I understand), then I will be okay if you stop following me. Or you could mute me if you don’t want me showing up in your feed (but please don’t hurt my feelings by “blocking” me instead).

I’m just looking for my audience. Readers who appreciate my style and quirky humor and word choices…and I know that like any other worthwhile endeavor, it is going to take time to find. I’ll wait.
