Near Freedom
We listened and adhered to the lockdown advise
We all shake hands, Feck we all hug if we want to. I’m not a huggy person, But if you want one, fine.
We didn’t shake hands or hug, We stayed a safe distance away from each other, Acknowledged each other with respectful nods, Wore our masks, washed our hands in gel, Signed in and out of grocery stores, Keeping ourselves to ourselves for two months.
We even adhered to the alcohol ban or a month! And look where it got us.
Drinking, dancing, hugging, Almost back to reality because we took Two months out of our lives to say, Guess what? This thing is bigger than us.
The Thai people demanded strict handling of Covid 19 from their government, as a result, Thailand is now Covid free after a two month period of restrictions. Face masks, gel and signing in and out of department stores are still in force, with extremely tight border controls. We are able to move around freely without any worries. For now…
Thank you Dr Mehmet Yildiz and the ILLUMINATION_Curated team for giving my words a platform. Thank you all for reading and your precious time. Always. J.
