In the face of the pandemic’s challenges, we all found strength in an essential capability — resilience. We saw many examples of resiliency in organizations, teams, and individuals. Resiliency is one of the critical capabilities that we will need as we work through climate change, the emotional challenges of being human, and uncertainties. Rooted in the Latin verb “resilire,” meaning to bounce back, resilience, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is our ability to recover from life’s uncertainties. This ability proved crucial, serving as a linchpin that allowed humanity to thrive during difficult times.
I believe the history of the human race is the greatest story of resiliency.
