Make a wish!

Do you want to know something interesting? When so much can be taught from one simple happening, I should say? Let me explain.

A Wish

I was sitting outside today; the weather is amazing out here in Florida. Sunny like always but today it wasn’t “Death by heatstroke” kind of weather, so I sat outside. As I was stuck in one of my normal crazy thoughts, you know the ones that kind of like to leave you zoning out to nothing and looking like a complete zombie to the face.

But one thing did manage to break through my dead-end concentration, a fluffy dandelion seed, floating and passing right on by. These are the moments I am talking about that spark so much creativity in my head and for what reasons I can hardly tell you, all I know is one thing. As I came out of my fog and realized the fly buyer, my first words spoken from that hour were, “Make a wish!”.

Childhood

You can’t tell me you never blew on the head of a dandelion as a kid while having a favorite wish in mind? I remember this all too well and sometimes nature likes to take me back and teach me a little more. So, today in this nice weather, I saw a wish floating by. It lifted high up until I could not make it out anymore. How far will it go? How long and how high up will this specific wish travel? What about all of the wishes out there that never make it that far? Or even the ones that never had a wish of their own to carry?

Nature's Story

Suddenly I felt like Isaac Newton sitting under a tree when that fruitful little apple decided to fall and bonk him on the head, giving him the idea of gravity. These moments almost give nature a voice and also teach us amazing lessons. So, I decided that now when the weather is nice, I go sit with nature and let her tell me a story.

Thank you all for all your love and support! Happy writing!
