PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
Nature’s Beauty
Week eleven of the photographic documentary of my daily life
It’s been another beautiful week out in nature. It’s been wet and gloomy but filled with astonishing views and stunning captures of nature’s beauty. Despite the rain, I went for several hikes in the forest and searched for the last blooming flowers.
This is week number eleven. Dennett started this photography challenge a while back. It’s not a challenge where we compete against each other. This is about capturing one photograph every day. One photograph out of our daily life. It’s about seeing the small things in life.
It’s about focus. Where you put your focus on in life. What are your priorities in life and what makes you happy. Find your happiness within your own actions. Find it in your mindset.

I went to work. In the rain. You know we need sunshine to be able to work. Or something similar to it. Rain isn’t great for the skydiving business. But mother nature needs it.
So, we wait. For the rain to stop. For the clouds to disappear.
While walking over the landing area. Seeing raindrops on the blades of grass. Spotting cloverleaves. It’s not more than a lawn. Yet there is beauty in it. In its variety.
Just go and look for the four-leaved clover. It will make you smile. At least once.

Mushroom season has begun. They shoot out of the ground all across the forest floor. They are telling us to watch out for them. To see the beauty in their appearance.

Autumn is starting to show its colors. Leaves are turning yellow and orange before they end up in the brown color of the forest floor.

While I’m struggling to find flowers still blooming several bushes are carrying colorful berries. Edible or not. The color might warn you.
For me, they are a perfect object. Something more than worth capturing. They are worth stopping and moving the focus on. Creating art out of their natural appearance while capturing their beauty.

The sun is still spectacular. Especially towards the end of the day. Its powerful colors are fascinating. While we didn’t see the sun all day long it peeks through clouds now. Presenting itself stronger than ever.

On one of our regular walks, we did feel the cold. It had been a sunny day yet it never got really warm. The forest is still very green but the forest floor is already covered in lots of brown leaves.
Autumn.
Autumn is here. He isn’t just knocking on the door. He just walked into our lives without asking. But I kind of like it. I like the colors. I like the change of season.

Once in a blue moon, I do go to the city. To do some shopping. Just to realize again that I am not a city person. I simply need nature around me.
As I’m finished with what I wanted to do in the city I turn off the shopping street in Stuttgart and walk to the park. Watching Egyptian Geese walking along the shoreline. There’s a small pond and lots of ducks and geese found their home here.
Within the city. To make the city a bit more lively. These animals are very tame and come close to you. Or don’t mind it if you come close to them by walking along the path.
Time to go back to the train station and head out of the city. Yet I did enjoy these few minutes surrounded by the city’s animals.

This has been my week. My week in photographs. Underlined with a one-word description and a short story behind it. I really enjoy taking my camera with me looking for these specific captures.
