Nature is My Respite
I feel alive when I’m in nature

Nature is calm and forgiving. It heals, nurtures, and restores.
It instills a calm spirit in me and inspires me to write. It is to nature I turn to regain my senses and to reconnect with myself.
Every morning, I hear it’s enchanting call. The sun is shining bright. I see its warm and gentle rays peering through the window.
I rush to get outside to feel the gentle warmth of the sun caressing my skin.
My garden is a sanctuary where I find my respite. It is a sacred place where I nurture my desire to be by myself.
I look around the trees, the zinnia flowers blooming in my garden with colorful butterflies flying around and sucking on the fresh nectar. I hear a distant buzz of bumblebees.
I take a deep breath of fresh unpolluted air mildly scented by flowers. Luxurious blooms of Mary gold flowers release a sweet scent into the air. I turn my gaze to pumpkin, turning into a mildly orange golden color.
The smells and colors of nature captivate me. Peace and tranquility envelope my senses. All of a sudden, I feel alive. My spirit is renewed.
This is all I need to reconnect with myself. To be one with nature.
My mind becomes filled with ideas. The pressure and heaviness melt away. I can sense clarity of my thoughts, and I can’t wait to put them on the paper.
I go back in and start writing.
And you too can do the same — get out in nature to reconnect with yourself and your thoughts. Spend some time outdoors before you write. Learn to love nature, and it will love you back.
Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.
