Rainbows sometimes come to the sky after some rain

The COVID pandemic placed restrictions on life as we knew it. There were changes to daily living. Although it was advised to stay away from crowds indoors, there were few restrictions to enjoying nature.

We could still enjoy most outdoor activities if they were not in crowded conditions where the virus could spread easily. Looking outside and enjoying the beauties of nature were never restricted activities.

Rainbows sometimes come to bring beauty to the sky after some rain has fallen. They don’t usually last that long, but they are pretty while they last.

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun. [Wikipedia]

The beautiful colors of a rainbow bring joy to people. It is exciting to see that colorful arc in the sky. There are sometimes double rainbows.

There used to be a legend that there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. People would sometimes go in search of that pot of gold. They never found it.

There is a lot of beauty in this world. Whether there is a COVID pandemic or world problems such as racism and hate, nature still gives us much to enjoy.
