Natural Bodycare After Awakening

Natural Remedies for a Body in Tune with Spirit

Brunette Woman in the Shower, created by author with hotpot.ai

The process of awakening is tough. It is not all rainbows and unicorns, but I got through it, at least the first round, and in the last years, I changed most of my habits. I ended up changing my whole lifestyle.

Today I want to share some things that I do differently now.

Filtered Water

I only drink filtered water and wash my body with filtered water. It makes a huge difference.

Baking Soda

I know it is a bit controversial regarding what people say about cleaning the skin, hair, and face with baking soda, but it works great for me. Baking soda facial peels feel amazing! I do them maybe once a month. Yes, any salesperson in the cosmetic industry will tell you that this is bad for your skin and that you should only use whatever they want to sell you, but I like to try things out, see how it feels, and then trust my instincts. I acknowledge that you shouldn’t use baking soda too often for your hair. I think it is quite nice for your scalp, but it damages the ends of your hair when you overuse it.

In the last few months, I washed my hair first with baking soda water, followed by water mixed with organic apple cider vinegar once every 1.5–2 weeks, and ended up trimming my hair quite a bit because it didn’t look so great in the end. However, my scalp has never felt better.

I want to try soapnuts for my hair soon, and I will report back to you.

When I feel like I am coming down with a cold or have the feeling that my body is too acidic because I had a relapse and ate too much sweets and chocolate, I like to drink a glass of filtered water with half a teaspoon of baking soda. Sometimes I put a pinch of baking soda in hand-pressed juices. It tastes a bit fresher, and I enjoy baking soda burps (I know, gross, lol).

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is great for cleaning my armpits in the shower. I always have a spray bottle in the shower ready, mixed with filtered water (30:70 , apple cider vinegar:water mixture)

Castile Soap

This soap is very effective. I like to use a Castile-water mixture to wash my hands.

Castile soap is mostly seen as natural but it depends on the brand. Traditional Castile soap is made from vegetable oils like olive oil and doesn’t contain any synthetic additives or animal fats.

Oils

To nurture my skin, I use various oils (coconut oil, castor oil) for hair (only the ends), armpits, and heels. I don’t overuse these oils as my skin produces enough oil itself most of the time. I like castor oil for my irritated skin and my feet as it is great for preventing cracks on your heels.

Activated Charcoal

Activated Charcoal This is another cool thing that I have discovered in the last years.

Please note that if you take any medication, activated charcoal can interfere with or cancel the effects of Western medicine as it removes all the toxins from your body.

I like to use it on the skin for any bites (spider bites, mosquito bites, ant bites). I open one of my capsules and mix it with coconut oil or tiger balm and put it directly on the skin. The itchy feeling immediately disappears. I also like to take one capsule before going to bed to get rid of toxins in my body.

Bentonite Clay

This is another substance that can assist you in getting unwanted toxins out of your body. I like to drink it, mixed with water (only half of a teaspoon in 250ml of water), and I like to put it on my gums to improve the bacterial health in my mouth.

Bentonite Clay & Activated Charcoal also assist you in getting rid of parasites in the body.

Cloves

Cloves are great against inflammation, and I eat about 1–2 cloves every day but not more as too much can harm your body.

It has bioactive compounds and nutritional elements. As soon as my teeth or gums hurt, I put a clove in my mouth, and the pain is gone on the same day.

Fenugreek

I like to take 1–3 capsules of Fenugreek. It helps me balance my hormones and replaces the need for deodorants.

Supplements for spirituality and productivity reasons are also part of my lifestyle, but this is a whole different article.

Stay healthy, strong, and live your dreams! Regain full power with your body and mind, and you will be unstoppable.

Feel loved, feel hugged.
