For The Love of Reading

Dear kindred spirits,

This day is a call to all the bibliophiles across the globe to celebrate reading and literature. In the US, August 9th is celebrated as National Book Lover’s Day. It is well celebrated internationally as Book Lover’s day. The creator/s is not yet known. Perhaps, they were influenced by the quote from Shakespeare, “What’s there in a name?”

Books have come a long way from clay tablets, papyrus scrolls, paperbacks to ebooks, and now audiobooks. Their form may change, the soul remains the same.

Books let us escape from the time and space around and merge in time and space elsewhere. They are our forever friends. All the book lovers find solace in the books.

How to Celebrate Book Lovers Day

1. Check your stack of books and start reading.
2. Put away your gadgets, social media handles, and read a book.
3. Read the book you have always wanted to but never found the time to.
4. Soak in a sense of community of kindred spirits.
5. Find a favorite reading place, a good book, and read the day away.
6. Gift a book to a fellow book lover (P.S. I can give you my email id :) )
7. Make a to-read list.
8. Sit back and reflect on all the books you read last month/year.
9. The list can go on and on …..
