Nallivera — #kdramatalks

“Navillera” classic Korean word which means “fly beautifully like a butterfly” (found it on the Internet).
Navillera, delightful K drama(12 episodes) I just finished watching. This drama is damn beautiful, I just can’t explain. Leads Song Kang and Park In Hwan breathed in characters of Chae Rok and Deok Chul.
There are different types of K Dramas, there are dramas that will give you instant satisfaction, Some dramas are lighthearted and lovable. But Navillera doesn’t fall in any such category, maybe we can call it a slice of life. however, it’s the portrayal of human emotions, family relations and their complexities, existential crisis, what most of us go through, and the heartwarming healing process is so beautifully expressed, it touches your soul.
Drama is about Ballet and both our Leads made sure that viewers fall in love with Ballet for sure. Watching Song Kang performing Ballet is pure joy, a feast to our eyes. Though I hate to give any spoilers, there are some of my most favorite scenes in the drama, which I must mention
The scene where Chae Rok(Song Kang) performs Ballet for Deok Chul in the Park( I can’t tell you how emotional I became)
The climax performance of Swan Lake.
Koreans make justice to any subject they take up, heard Nallivera is taken from Webtoon. Makers did the best job in dramatizing it, all the actors lived in their roles, yet my favorites are Song Kang and Doek Chul they just stole my heart(I’m sure they will steal yours too). This beautiful tale about Ballet forever remains one of my favorites.
