5-MINUTE TV SHOW REVIEW
Mystic Pop-up Bar: Fantasy and Food in One Show?
Rating: 8/10

Synopsis/idea: The main protagonist has a special power (people spill their hearts out when they make physical contact), and he stumbles across a 500-year-old ghost serving a sentence by listening to people’s woes in the form of a pop-up bar. Korean Drama.
Why I started watching this show
If a tv show or Korean drama has food in the cover art, tv show name, or promotional materials — I’m in! In the end, it was the perfect show to go with dinner. Otherwise, I’d imagine being super hungry watching this!
Three (3) reasons why I recommend this show
[1] Hilarious Comedy Scenes
Without giving too many spoilers, some of the comedic relief is gold. Given the myth of descendants appearing in people’s dreams to give their progeny winning lottery numbers, they set an entire episode around a game show-style competition amongst ghosts attempting to send wealth through their bloodlines.
[2] Delicious Food to Make Your Mouth Water
Every episode implicitly showcases a new Korean food, including Korean lunch box spread, beautiful egg rolls, perfect grilled fish with crunchy skin, sizzling bar snacks, bossam (boiled pork belly wraps) and much, much more!
[3] Cute Romantic Relationship Narrative
This show has a cute romantic relationship that talks about being someone who just fiercely different from others and how they cope with being different from others all their lives.
One (1) thing I wish they did better
The twist at the end was a bit overdone given the cliché, though it had a pretty solid foundation building up to it. I think if they had tried to wrap the finale episode in one episode without going down such an elongated rabbit hole, it would have been a perfect wrap up.
