My Writer Profile
Joanne Troppello
I started writing on Medium in March this year.
It’s been an interesting experience so far and I have connected with many thought-provoking writers — especially in the Illumination and Koinonia publications.
Writing experience
I’ve written three fiction books, My S.E.D. Label, Mr. Shipley’s Governess, and Bella Lucia. I’ve been a freelance copywriter for 20 years.
Currently, I write for Content Writers and Constant Content. I write short and long-form blog posts, articles, white papers, and product descriptions for various clients with these two content creation companies.
My magazine
Three years ago, I started a family-friendly online magazine called Pandora’s Box Gazette. Eight months ago, I rebranded and changed the magazine name to Mustard Seed Sentinel and publish more faith-based content.
I have 22 regular monthly columnists who write for the magazine on parenting, writing, book reviews, marketing, homeschooling, family life, and more topics.
Personal life
I am married and we will be celebrating our 16th anniversary this July.
We don’t have children, but have had 3 miscarriages. We are currently on a journey to adopt. We have 6 nephews and 6 nieces. My husband and I love being an uncle and aunt.
I love to read, write, take walks, and spend time with family. I’m a sappy romantic and huge fan of cheesy Hallmark movies.
However, I also love watching action movies — which is probably a byproduct of growing up with 6 brothers. My favorite action actor is Jason Statham.
Time on Medium
I’ve written over 100 articles in two months on Medium. Two articles were curated, one in Better Marketing and one in P.S. I Love You.
My favorite publications on Medium that I love writing for are Illumination, Koinonia, Warm Hearts, P.S. I Love You, Writer’s Blokke, The Startup, A Few Words, Creative Café, and The Ascent.
Glad to connect with everyone
I look forward to connecting with more readers and writers on Medium.
I’m excited to write on this platform and try to read at least 3 articles per day — for educational purposes and to get to know other writers.
