My Wife’s Order from Amazon Arrived Busted, Then I Had to Re-Format Both of Our Lap Tops
Be careful when you shop online

It was another eye-rolling moment for me, my wife saw something on Amazon.com that she had to have. When the box arrived, she tore into it like a kid on Christmas morning.
Her excitement turned to disappointment when she opened the box. The unwrapped contents arrived without padding. The tray to sit her laptop on while she sat on the sofa to watch TV arrived broken.
It was just thrown in the box
This happens a lot with my wife. She is always on the phone with Amazon with issues with her orders. She called them to complain. I don’t know who she called, but she soon brought her phone to me, the guy on the other end needed access to our computers.
It took all day getting the Laptops re-formatted
I should have asked questions, I should have put my foot down, but I didn’t. I spent the rest of the day reformatting both laptops. It’s a scary thing watching as your computer is controlled by a dirtbag. I’m glad there wasn’t that much money in my bank account.
He got away with a little money, I was angry at my wife and myself., but we both learned a lesson. The bad thing is I lost part of a novel I was writing and part of my memoir is also gone.
It’s embarrassing, but it could happen to anyone
I’m embarrassed by the whole thing, I don’t know who I’m angry at more, my wife or me. I will get over it. My wife cried, and I was upset because she was crying.
We will replace everything we lost, and we both learned a lesson. I’m writing this as a cautionary tale, I don’t want anyone to go through what my wife and I went through yesterday.
I had to change everything
I had to change all my passwords. I had to call the bank, I’m locked out of my account, we can’t use our debit cards until we go to the bank to get new ones.
I was beating myself up when I was talking to the guy from the Bank. He assured me that it could happen to anyone, it happened to him.
So much is being done online these days, and it’s easy to get complacent and let your guard down. You must be vigilant, trust me, you never want to have to deal with this nonsense, it’s too stressful.
Final thought:
Be careful with your plastic online. The world is full of evil people that enjoy ripping decent people off. Cyberspace is too easy. People can forget to be careful, please stay on your toes online, because dealing with this crap is a pain.
