My weekend downtown.
Life isn’t always what it seems when you live downtown. Things can change rapidly, making the ordinary day seem just like the weekend.
Three six nine, everything is fine. Many times they gave this vandal Rock so many times, They came in through the window, to the wall, to the floor, and made all the other’s crawl. That was my lifestyle for many years in my past. It seemed to be a nasty routine I was in every day. However, I was fully in-control most of the time and enjoyed the company of their stories they told, and hope to be able to publish some of the stories of the girls I have dated in the past few years in my most beloved hometown. The cradle of my life was right in the East LA area, also known as the East side of lower Akron. Even though it got to where I could not afford or take the heat anymore, I was able to gain sanity to myself, and take back control of my life through a sleeping room right in the downtown region of my hometown.
Aside from all the loud music and constant laughter coming from people at the bars bellow my apartment. I was very thankful to be able to find a spot to rest my head. It was as if the people around me were celebrating my return back to society as we knew it. I had been gone away from the city, and the people for quite some time, and the best way to describe the people was they were happy. I could look right out my window and see beautiful people all the time it seemed. I didn’t wait for myself to participate in all the celebrating going on with the people. I enjoyed it too much. However, there was a spot for me to go so I could recover for a few months.
I learned a thing or two from a few others into the same things I was into doing. Life was good. All I had to do was find a way to fit right back into life with my fellow Americans. Who can resist a slice of pizza when it is only a dollar during lunchtime. Or a sweet, warm, freshly made cookie from the cookie store. With several deli shop’s for sandwiches, no one can genuinely go hungry on this strip of road in my downtown region. If you’re into drinking, there are a few mighty excellent clubs right there waiting for you. Don’t worry if you’re not into the opposite sex. There are several spots for the same-sex community of people. On this same strip of the road are some mighty fine upper-class style restaurants to enjoy, and a few family-style spot’s to indulge into a regular type meal.
One thing I always loved when I was a child is that I like what music has done to me. I know there are several types to get hip to, and many different artists that love to play. I even grew up close to a big huge stadium where the concert would play. I loved watching bands get done during my youth. However, it was time to grow up too fast if you know what I mean. Things were like tick-tock around here for years as the sound of music kept me entertained even on the job sites, so when the music played, it was instantly time to rock and roll. I guess I had to learn how to settle myself down a little, and roll with the times and that can be done here in my hometown in a spot called lock three.
I might not meet many people directly as long as I was around these and those types of people I felt right at home. However, still shy as can be, I only wish things would have been more different in my younger days, as things sometimes happen rapidly in life. However every Friday during the summer there is some band playing, and it is so sweet how they can draw in a crowd of people. Even though they might not sound like the original players, it’s all good as they put in the effort.
Throughout the week and the weekends, there’s a crowd of people that come to watch or play baseball down at the stadium that is the main street in my downtown region. Since they built it, I have only been inside once at the end of a game where a friend and I ended up in someone else’s seat that returned from getting a hot dog. Maybe someday I can come back, and watch the whole game, and order me a hotdog and drink as well. It would be nice to have a girlfriend, and a child goes and sing “buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks. I don’t care if we ever get back” if you know what I mean.

I have seen many times people lined up outside to get inside and watch the game. In my younger days, I messed up by giving up on sports after a season of where I burned my leg. My head never really fully got over all that pain and not walking regularly. I did once upon a time, wants to enjoy playing baseball in the major leagues. I just kept blaming my leg even though I sat down and watched those movies on disabled people still playing sports with their handicaps.
Another thing I like about this stadium is there is a fellow who seemed to dedicated his time to learning to play the wind instrument. I am so very sorry I completely forgot what they call some of their instrument’s, however that man left the case open. I remember seeing in a movie people tipping the box with a few dollars when people would sit out and play an instrument in the free public. Sometimes they would sing as well. How big a city is living when everything that could get heaped about is right here in my metropolitan type city. It seems like every time this fellow sees me, he plays that pink panther song, and before the cartoon pink panther was all about an agent trying to get some female action. LoL, Kinda reminds me of myself.
That’s not the only song he plays. I know he has to know more. However, I just know the three, and the one that says, “Hit the road, Jack,” really gets me going for some reason. I guess in times past. I did get used to somewhat hanging with the boys. What I was looking for was a female. So when I hear that song, the first thing I do is look around to see if someone is watching me. There are college dorms not far from this stadium, and it is beneficial to see all the different people coming and going from this area alone. I love it a lot. I happen to know for a fact that there are a lot of older males dating these college-age girls then chose to admit that they are not far from the stadium.
Now the third song is “Take me out to the Ballgame.” I wish I had a child or girlfriend. I could hear them sing the next line. “Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks. I don’t care if I never get back”. A stadium is a place that I can look at and feel young again. The city developers stated that they were going to tear it down again so they could rebuild something else when I was a child. It is so lovely to see that they have brought it back. The man down there also plays this other tune that went with the cartoon of Pink Panther.
I liked that tune. However, I never really knew what to say to a woman. Even now, there are a lot of females out walking around the downtown area. They did walk ever so sweetly down the road. However, wearing short skirts along with dark outfits. I do know that even though life had its ups and downs that there is still a handful of work potential about to happen for me. I could go into the library for entertainment and or maybe even a job. Or even the hidden mall for a sandwich and a drink. With so many different types of shops all around town. I just love being here as I know there are a lot of other kinds of communities much better off. I just love my own.
My weekend downtown back then was a chain of days that went on like a never-ending event for me. For three months, I had to move out into the country. Because of the landlord’s business issues, he had to look deeply into closing down the apartment. I don’t blame him for his age and health, and not to mention the fact that downtown areas in any given city are where most of the population ends up going. You never know who is going to show up. However, I was pretty lucky to have met several mighty beautiful people as friends. I was always shy when it came to relationships because the amount of females downtown can confuse the mind. As I was away from my sweet downtown area, I couldn’t wait to check out this other spot that was a little more hidden in the downtown area.
I ended up doing another three months in another spot once the first three months was complete. The only reason I left downtown was to save money to buy a vehicle. With what you previously read, you can see that in my city you don’t need a car and if you needed to leave there is the metro bus system that can get you to wherever you are going basically. Might not be the front door. However, the walk from the stop will not be as far as the walk from the original spot you left from initially. My reason for a vehicle was I didn’t want to be without this certain female in my life anymore. I needed a car just to keep up with, and find her. After six months of free rent and a job, I was able to do that. We both stayed in my second downtown apartment together for a long while.
