My VICTORIOUS 30-Day Challenge on Medium[Stats📊 Included]
Did all my effort bear fruit?

Done and dusted! Finally, after 30 days, I have completed my own goal of seeing how far I can push myself on Medium. My goal on Medium was to see how my content can reach out to more like-minded people like me to share stories about finance, side hustle, and being a digital nomad lifestyle.
I would say I have done a lot better than most YouTubers that publish their own 30-day challenge on Medium.
Here is what I will be covering. So if you would like to find out more about a certain heading. Be sure to click on the table of content and it will automatically bring you to the heading.

Why I choose to write on Medium
Medium enables writers to write for themselves and record the ideas they want to communicate. As you write more, you become more aware of your preferences, default writing style, and voice.
The platform is also a lot easier to build an audience as compared to starting your own website from scratch, in which you have to do a lot more work than content writing itself.
Mentality Going into Medium
Going into Medium, I want to write whatever I could think of. It was completely different from writing my own content on my website which tends to need more focus on keyword research and less emotion in the writing.
I went all out!
I want to show others that it is possible to build an additional source of income through Medium. To do that, I work roughly 4 hours a day posting 3~5 content a day.
Small Achievement Along the Way
Unlike writing content on your own website. I can brag about my achievements on Medium, and people actually care!
I remember when I first achieved my first 100 followers in 5 days(my loyal followers from other channels 🤗), many comments started flooding in congratulating me. It was definitely heartwarming and feels really great knowing my content is appreciated.
Stats on my Medium

Take note that during the middle parts of the month I was traveling a lot in Korea and enjoying the life of a digital nomad. So the content pushed out was lesser. In the last 10 days before the end of this challenge. I took the time to reach out to as many publications and request them to allow me to publish on their platform.
During those days, I manage to shoot my viewership at a new all-time high. On 21 December, I broke the 100 views in a day!😊
Amount of Article Posted

At the end of the 30-day challenge, I posted more than 100 articles. Looking back, I have learned tremendously what I should and should not post on Medium in order to rank and do well on the platform.
A great takeaway I will share with my audience based on my statistic is that content with a read time of 3~7 minutes tend to do well with 4 minutes being the best.
Responses Given
I always will make the effort in responding to all my readers as thank you for reading what I can provide. I also found that readers who are more engaged with the writer tend to follow and subscribe to my channel.
Therefore, I will make sure to put in the effort to write a good value-added comment to my readers.
Income Made

During the first 10 days, I made roughly more than $1
During the next 10 days, it grew slowly to $4.50. That meant that I made roughly $0.30 a day.😅
Finally, in the last few days with the final push, I managed to make more than $10. Based on the new income report coming in, I am now making more than $1 a day.😊
Summary: I am Grateful
Nothing cool or amazing to show off honestly. But I truly enjoyed my work here on Medium and am glad that my readers enjoy the value that I can provide for them!
