My Top 5 Skincare Products for Fall
Sadly, it’s time to put the bronzed moisturizer away…

Why I’m Changing My Skincare For The Fall
Of course with the changing seasons — come changing skincare!
I typically end up changing a few items in my routine to adapt to the colder weather conditions and more humid air inside the heaters. My bedroom in particular gets super warm, so a different routine is needed for each of the seasons!
I usually like to stick with a few staples, however, with the dryer weather — a thicker moisturizer is always needed for my skin type.
Not all people are going to have dry skin this winter, but I know I sadly fall into the population that will. So let’s jump right in and see what the top products I’m using this fall are!
- La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser

Starting off strong is the La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser — and WOW is this a staple in my skincare! I’ve used this cleanser 2x a day AM/PM for the last year and my skin has never felt cleaner. This is always the first step after I wake up or after I take my makeup off in the evening. This leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and smooth. No gross texture, no breakouts, no dry skin.
You can buy this from Target, Ulta, Amazon, or other retailers. It usually sits around $16.99 before coupons.
2. Philosophy Hope In A Jar Smooth-Glow Multi-Tasking Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF30

I absolutely LOVE this Philosophy moisturizer. A friend of mine introduced me to it this past summer and it has instantly become a fan favorite of mine. You can get this with both SPF or without SPF. I currently have the one without SPF (which I didn’t realize and regret purchasing — always get SPF!) For a pricier option, this is 100% worth the money and I’ve repurchased it twice now. A 2-fluid oz. bottle lasted me approximately from May to September so for $40–50, I would consider that worth it. This leaves my skin super moisturized and holds throughout the night. I LOVE the smell and the texture of the cream as well.
You can find this at Ulta, Amazon, or the Philosophy website. Perhaps other retailers, but I mainly purchase mine at Ulta.
3. THAYERS Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Mist Toner with Aloe Vera in scent: Rose Petal

I’ve been using toner in my skincare routines for as long as I can remember, however, I switched to THAYERS after finding out the other brand I was using was quite terrible for my skin. I use this after my cleanser, before applying other products to even out my skin’s pH balance, and tone it before my other applications. I enjoy how it has different scents too! Personally, I don’t recommend the cucumber one. I enjoy the original or the rose petal one.
Throughout the day, I’ll go back and forth using this, or Mad Hippie’s Hydrating Mist to refresh my face and give it the care it needs.
You can find the THAYERS toner at Ulta, Amazon, Target, Walmart, or other retailers. Mad Hippie I’ve bought exclusively from Ulta.

4. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% Serum

I’ve been using this serum for the last year now and have noticed a significant difference in how plump and hydrated my skin has changed. Hyaluronic Acid is known to bring in moisture and hydrate the skin which can dull redness, flakiness, and tight skin. I’ve noticed since using this product regularly that my skin is way more soft and feels like it holds my moisturizer longer! This gets applied after toner and before moisturizer.
You can find this on Amazon, Ulta, or other retailers. Just make sure to use moisturizer after applying.
5. All Natural Whipped Beef Tallow

Okay, I know this looks horrendous but hear me out. 100% grass-fed, all-natural Beef tallow has SO many healing properties for your skin. I bought this from a small business on Etsy this summer and as soon as I used it, my skin had 100x more moisture than before. This stuff REALLY moisturizes your skin and you DON’T need a lot — at ALL. I actually put too much and ended up clogging my pores for a night. I highly suggest ONLY using this if your skin is critically dry or every once in a while (maybe 1x a week or 2x a week). This stuff can also heal diaper rash and other rashes, be used as a lotion, and other means. I used this on some rash I had on my arm that instantly got clearer after a couple of uses.
You can buy 100% organic grass-fed beef tallow here.
Conclusion
As you see, I have a wide variety of staples here for the upcoming fall season. I’m hoping my skin won’t get nearly as dry as it has in previous years!
If you have any other facial skincare products you recommend, feel free to leave me a comment! I love looking into other products to add to my lineup!
As always, take care, sending love and I’ll see you next time!
