Abstract

ing of images, here are some of my favorite sunset shots that I’ve taken over recent years. Living in the north-central area of Florida and in a city full of trees, sunrises and sunsets aren’t as easily viewed as they are in other locations. My favorite place to watch and photograph sunsets is in Mount Dora, a small town south of us that we used to visit regularly before the pandemic. I miss the sunsets over Lake Dora so much! In fact, all these photos were taken there. I am always flabbergasted at how a sunset over the same lake can look totally different from one day to the next. So often, looking at the setting sun over Lake Dora, I could barely believe the colors were real. The hues were unlike any I’ve ever seen anywhere else.</p><p id="fafb">Maybe, if we can get a handle on this virus and all its many variants, <a href="undefined">Captain Argentina</a> and I can visit again one day.</p><figure id="68e8"><img src="https://cdn-images-1.readmedium.com/v2/resize:fit:800/0*5d3GRWrdvQl8F_pG"><figcaption>© Dennett ~ 2019</figcaption></figure><figure id="dd20"><img src="https://cdn-images-1.readmedium.com/v2/resize:fit:800/0*2RYMkkua9OKP4Sff"><figcaption>© Dennett ~ 2019</figcaption></figure><figure id="22f2"><img src="https://cdn-images-1.readmedium.com/v2/resize:fit:800/0*E6u9vI-5A1fyNjqt"><figcaption>© Dennett ~ 2019</figcaption></figure><figure id="47e9"><img src="https://cdn-images-1.readmedium.com/v2/resize:fit:800/0*Xwd31cpHHngS2xjb"

W&W March Prompt / Sunsets

My Sunset

Nature’s canvas

© Dennett ~ 2016

They call it the sunset of life with a grimace focusing on the pending dark not the present beauty

As youthful light dims mature hues deepen I see a life well-lived, not one declining

My sunset is varied and full grasping the future as the past slips away appreciating what was, is, and will be.

Bathe me in the brilliance of each passing year Chroma is my preference as my sun sets in glory.

I am Nature’s Canvas.

I‘m enjoying the sunset of my life. And, I’m still enjoying all the sunsets and sunrises that come my way.

I want to thank Anne Bonfert for providing our March Sunset Banner. It was one of her posts about sunsets in Africa gave me the idea for this month’s prompt: Sunsets.

Sunsets wherever and whatever — actual sunsets or metaphorical sunsets. Follow this prompt wherever it leads. I look forward to the results. Please make one of your tags “Writing Prompt Response” and always give credit for your images.

Maybe, if we can get a handle on this virus and all its many variants, Captain Argentina and I can visit again one day.
