My Stretch Mark Made Me Hate My Body And I Got Rid Of It Naturally

My stretch marks even played a role in my sex life.

Whether on the breasts, buttocks, stomach or thighs — stretch marks affect millions of people everywhere.

I had stretch marks on my thighs and breasts when I was 18. At first they were pretty small and almost unnoticed, but later they got bigger and darker as I put on weight.

I never ever worn a thong bikini on the beach or posted an unedited bikini photo on Instagram because I was so embarrassed.

Getting rid of my stretch marks has been amazing for my confidence.

My stretch marks even played a role in my sex life. When it comes to being intimate, I would always choose to be in a dark room to avoid seeing my naked body.

After losing 40 pounds, my stretch marks became more of a scar and covered roughly 25% of my entire body. If you haven’t seen my story on how I lost 20 pounds in one month then you should.

At this point my insecurity grew. I definitely wanted to get rid of those annoying stretch marks.

My first option was a cosmetic procedure, but it would cost around $2500, which I couldn’t afford despite my desperation at the time.

The second option was to try natural home remedies. While some of them worked after using it for about one year and six months, some of them didn’t.

There are several ways you can clear stretch marks naturally and improve your skin texture.

Eating a healthy and solid diet will not only make your skin glow but will also help repair damaged skin cells. Body changes during pregnancy can be a problem for women.

Either way, it shouldn’t be if you’re following a healthy skin regimen that removes unwanted stretch marks during pregnancy.

If you’re looking for a cheap yet effective way to naturally remove stretch marks, the first thing to do is to maintain a healthy diet.

Eating foods high in unsaturated fats, such as the omega-3 fatty acids in fish or nuts, vitamins in fruits and vegetables (especially avocados and broccoli), and zinc, can improve your skin’s wellbeing tremendously.

Here are some home remedies I used to get rid of my stretch marks:

Home remedies for stretch mark removal can be effective if used consistently, but stretch marks can take years to completely remove.

If you are on a budget, these home remedies might be what you need to remove unwanted stretch marks.

What we are told when we are younger is just to accept what you have, but the amazing thing these days is that if you want to change something, you shouldn’t be ashamed.

1. Turmeric and Sandalwood

They are known for their ability to promote a more radiant, even complexion.

  • Dissolve a few drops of sandalwood essential oil in half a cup of lukewarm water.
  • Add four tablespoons of ground turmeric root to the mixture.
  • Mix the two well and apply to the skin.

Leave it on your skin until it dries, then take a bath.

Repeat this process for at least six months to see the changes.

2. Olive oil

Olive oil saturates and radiates your skin. It improves blood circulation and removes dead tissue from the outer layer of the skin.

  • Take the oil in your palms and massage the area gently.
  • Leave the oil on your body for 30 minutes to allow vitamins A, D, and E of the oil to penetrate the skin.
  • Take a shower after the massage.

Despite the fact that this procedure takes a considerable amount of time before you notice a noticeable change if you repeat the procedure many times, you will get results.

On the other hand, you can mix some olive oil, water, and vinegar and apply at night.

3. Castor oil

Apply castor oil to the stretch marks and gently rub the area in a circulating motion for about five to ten minutes.

Cover the area with a plastic bag and roll a hot water bottle over it for about 30 to 40 minutes.

The heat opens the pores and the oil penetrates the pores. Clean the area and repeat regularly for at least a month for good results.

4. Vitamin E oil

Add a vitamin E oil capsule to each moisturizer you use. Massage the stretch marks with your homemade serum twice a day.

In three weeks you should find that your stretch marks are starting to fade.

5. Shea butter

Shea butter can be used in place of the oil treatment. This natural butter is used in the manufacture of most cosmetic products.

Take shea butter and apply it to your stretch marks to even out the skin.

Shea butter improves skin elasticity, prevents dryness and moisturizes your skin. Getting a warm shea butter massage twice a week can clear stretch marks faster.

6. Sugar

Sugar contains an organic property that is used to revitalize the skin. It exfoliates dead tissue on the skin and helps remove stretch marks.

  • Take a tablespoon of sugar, mix it with almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice.
  • Use as a scrub before bathing.
  • Do this regularly for two months.

7. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera promotes healing and makes the skin glow. Use a cool gel for faster improvement.

  • Take an aloe vera leaf and wash it properly.
  • Cut the back into slices with a knife and mix the gel in a blender.
  • Or rub the gel directly on the skin, then after 30 minutes it was off.

You can also make a mixture of a quarter cup of aloe vera gel with vitamin A and E oil capsules. Apply it to the stretch mark area twice a day.

There are no known side effects of using aloe vera on the skin, so some people even leave it on overnight.

8. Lemon juice serum

The antioxidant properties of lemon juice remove stretch marks.

  • Combine a mixture of aloe vera gel and half a teaspoon of lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Add 2 drops of lavender oil to the mixture and mix well.
  • Massage the stretch marks with the lemon juice serum.
  • Let the serum dry on your skin.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Apply every day for better results.

Alternatively, you can make a mixture of lemon, cucumber, and lavender oil and apply it to the stretch marks.

9. Potato juice

The potato contains phytochemicals, polyphenols and carotenoids that improve the natural skin tone.

  • Cut a potato in half and rub one half on the stretch marks.
  • Let the juice soak into the skin until it dries.
  • Wash the area with lukewarm water.

You will see some changes in a few months. You can incorporate a potato mask into your skin regimen to permanently remove stretch marks.

10. Alfalfa leaves

Alfalfa leaves are an excellent source of protein, essential amino acids, and vitamins E and K. Their antifungal properties detoxify the skin and help remove stretch marks.

  • Prepare a mask with half a cup of alfalfa powder, 8 drops of chamomile oil and water.
  • Mix all the components together to get a smooth paste.
  • Massage everything over the stretch marks.

Apply twice a day and you will find the stretch marks go away within a week.
