My Story as a New 3-Figure Entrepreneur

With a quote from Mark Twain

After ten years of writing on Medium, so I might as well tell you that I’m an ultra experienced dude, it was time for me to finally take a moment to explain to you how in January 2023, I became a 3-figure entrepreneur. Well, this has happened to me a few times since the partner program began in 2017, but don’t bother me. I’m telling you today in all transparency, Medium paid me $138.71 in January.

I am well aware that we hear a lot more about 6-figure entrepreneurs. Hey, they even chat with the CEO of Medium on Youtube! I guess they’re more of a dream than 3-figure entrepreneurs. After all, they are twice as strong.

Do you follow me so far? Besides, have you ever seen a 3-figure entrepreneur bragging about being a 3-figure entrepreneur? I would bet my life that you haven’t. They are the people behind the scenes. They find the glitter world completely stupid and fake.

But like today I want glitter, here my dear friends how I became a 3-figure entrepreneur in a single month. Maybe it will inspire you, who knows. You can already thank me for giving you the keys to my success for free.

I write from my heart, without worrying about my audience. Understand, I don’t write after studying precisely what’s trending in order to stupidly increase my statistics, I write because I have stories to tell and emotions to share. I take a lot of time to respond to all the people who read me and are touched by my words. This audience, which I consider true and valuable, is of course worth all the gold in the world.

I never give life advice to people, I never write tips on how to make money on Medium, I don’t sell starter kits for writing on Medium, becoming a top writer, or any other courses for being a great hack on Medium. The main reason for this: I’m not a hustler. I’m not capable of manipulating people like the 6-figure entrepreneurs around here do, chasing one goal: making money.

I only write on Medium, and I don’t try to market myself. For example, you won’t find an Instagram account where I share my 3-figure entrepreneurial dream life: pretty partner, sexy pictures taken all over the world, luxurious hotels, inspirational posts about how you can have the same successful writer’s life I do. The main reasons for this: I’m single and I haven’t found any luxurious hotels at five dollars a night. Nor will you find a Twitter account in my name where I proudly display my hard-earned tens of dollars in an effort to continue attracting fish who dream of wealth.

I write because I love words and their ability to touch hearts. I also love reading people who have unique stories to tell and a talent that was just waiting to blossom before the world. So much so I wish I could make a living as an editor. I love discovering stories from storytellers or artists who are successful in any way because they are known for their storytelling skills or their incredible drawings. But I hate to see the flowering and growth of fake writers or 6-figure hackers who are on Medium only for the money and write tons of crap for it.

I write as if I don’t need money, when in fact I do. But as I wrote above, I’m not a hustler. And only my heart will continue to guide my writing, not the stinking dollars of our declining world.

I could sell you a starter kit to detect 6-figure entrepreneurs and other writing hustlers to avoid on Medium, but that would be a bit cheeky of me. We can talk about it privately and by email, though. If I can help you improve your reading and writing experience around here, I’d love to.

“Work like you don’t need the money. Dance like no one is watching. And love like you’ve never been hurt.”

— Mark Twain

So you’ve read my story as a new 3-figure entrepreneur. The question is, which path do you want to take now? The one of the poor but honest and true 3-figure entrepreneur, or the rich but sorely manipulative and false 6-figure entrepreneur? The ball is in your court!
