There is research that claims that Pussycat poo could drive you mad

Oh yes its just another cat story that makes us look bad

Now that you hear that — you may look upon us less fondly

And the scientists point the finger at — cat parasite Toxoplasma Gondii

But you can also get this parasite — from bad meat and bad water

Yes just two more of the things that can infect you or your daughter

Its estimated that up to 15% Americans — can have this parasite

And if you are very young of age — you could lose your eye sight

Later on you could have seizures — and some partial vision loss

And be inclined towards risky sexual behavior — rolling around in the moss

But puzzlingly when we felines are infected — we are not affected

Because against this parasite — we have indeed purrfected

Our strong immune system in fact is lovely and dreamier

But some humans who are infested — can catch schizophrenia

So dear humans next time you are emptying your pussycat litter

Wash your hands thereafter — wear a mask thats a good fitter

And those microbes of madness — won’t get up your nose

And you won’t need a doctor — to wash the germs out with a hose

Now be especially careful dear readers — and make this understood

As multiple studies associate this with cat ownership in childhood

So if you friend forgets to wash his or own hands from confusion

Has disorganized thinking — and perhaps some delusion

Hallucinates or hear things — that do not exist

And loves their dear feline — who they cannot not resist

Consider it worthwhile to conduct a Toxoplasma Gondii test

The chances are it will be negative — just to put your mind at rest

But its important that felines are not looked upon as a villain

And don’t rush for your gun — or think about killin

As the mental health benefits we felines offer — out weigh any negative

So continue to love us — and treat us like your relative

MeoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW for now

Until next time
