My Publication “Genuine Impact” Flopped… ( But I Learned Much From It)

I thought it would be easy, but I was wrong.

1. Come up with a good name that people can connect with! ✔

2. Make a post! ✔

3. You don’t need to do anything! Thousands of followers will join your new publication in a few hours! ✘

WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!

You might think I’ve already learned this lesson when I started posting here again last month.

The truth is, we keep learning as long as we live.

And again, I learned my lesson.

So, let’s repeat an important lesson again.

If you don’t talk about it, no one will know.

So if you make a publication do these things:

1. Put some of YOUR articles in that publication so your followers can see them.
2. Mention your publication casually at the end of some of your articles so people can know it exists.
3. Ask your friends to join your publication.
4. Don’t give up if no one joins.

When I started my publication “Genuine Impact” I thought people would join like crazy.

Do you know how many people join?

Zero, nula, nul, nada… One big fat 0.

What did I do after I saw that no one cared?

I decided to give up!

I didn’t even try to get one follower!

And WHY?

Because it was easier to pretend it didn’t happen than to admit your mistake and see how can you improve it.

So this is my story about my publication.
