My Personality — Day 1 of Writing Challenge

My personality from mine and other people’s perspective

People often ask me what my personality is like? It’s hard to explain, but I’ll try my best. I believe that I’m a hard worker, and I care deeply about the things that are important to me. I can be emotional, and sometimes that means I can be a little bit mean. But overall, I’m a kind person who just wants to make the world a better place. I love to read and write. That’s why you see me here on Medium.

Now let me tell you what other people say about me.

What my friends say about me

My friends would describe me as being loyal, supportive, and always there for them.

They also think I am funny and witty when I am with them but they also say that I am a completely different person on the phone. They say that it feels as if I am being forced to talk to them and that they hate it.

I didn’t realize it until they pointed it out to me, but they’re right. I am completely different on the phone. I’m not sure why, but it’s probably because I’m an introvert and I don’t like talking on the phone.

Now when I am talking on the phone with them, I actively try not to piss them off.

One of my friends Amna will be reading this on medium and smiling. Then she is going to share it with my other 2 best friends Saima and Hajra, who are not on medium.

So girls I have to work extra hard for this… I try to imagine myself in our university with the 3 of you, or during one of our many project meetups. It makes the conversation a lot more easier.

I also make an effort to be funnier on the phone, because I know that’s what they like about me. So this goes on to show that I care about my friends and I want to make them happy.

What my family says about me

My Parents think that I am smart and they are always proud of my achievements. My siblings, on the other hand, think I am the laziest person in the world. And they are not wrong, I can be lazy sometimes.

I would just curl up with a good book or a movie and not move for hours.

Other than that, I believe that I am a pretty active person. I like to go on walks and I keep my space sparkling clean.

Yes…My dear siblings, read that twice….

What my kids say about me

My kids say that I am a strict mom….

Obviously!

what would you expect from a 10 years old and a teenager who are suppose to follow rules for screen time, study time, play time, chore time and sleep time.

So there you have it, that’s a little bit about my personality.
