My mystery destination — first clues

Getting there by jetting there

I’m away from my home office for some 10 days, on a mission to support an international organization, in another country.

Now I know that many of you are very experienced, world-wise, globe-trotting travelers. I wondered if you would be able to guess my current whereabouts, on the basis of a few pictures and other clues.

So let me start with a first clue, a picture taken from the window of the aircraft:

If I have somehow told some of you where I will be going, then please don’t “guess” it here. (I know that at least one of you is aware.) But for others, feel free to guess in the comments!

It may be difficult to know my exact location, but you might be able to guess the direction in which I’ve traveled to get here, or on which continent I am.
