My Motivational But UNWANTED Poetry

NONE Of It Rhymes!

Photo by John-Mark Smith on Unsplash

Nobody said, “Sabana, you need to inspire people. You are like a guru.” I did this all on my own. None of it rhymes, but I hoped it would put a smile on your face. Hopefully, you were already smiling. If not, here goes.

Try hard,

Don’t try hard.

You need to let go.

You need to let go more. Not too much, just the right amount.

What is it that you need to do to make things always go right?

“You can’t make things always go right,” they tell you.

“You need to let go.”

But I tried letting go and the stuff didn’t work. So the only thing that I find stays consistent is my enjoyment in doing things.

And if some of them work, so be it. But I can live with it if they don’t.

That’s why I write. That’s why I do everything I do in life. At least this way, you don’t feel like it was wasted time or that you hadn’t tried hard enough because you were letting go.

Feel free to do it whatever way you wanted to do it and you might find that the things you discover on your journey don’t exactly scream to you from the start:

“This is a breakthrough.”

Breakthroughs, for me, happened in less noticeable ways. No new year, new me.

They happen as you slowly and surely hone your craft and your skills and forget all about the process and your goals when you started. Then, after a while, you blink and notice everything is totally different,

From what it was at the start.
