My Mental Rehearsal With The Undefeated UFC Champion Khabib

When you kneel to God, you can stand up and crush any storm.

The story you tell yourself repeatedly, and long enough, you become.

Living with an intense form of mental illness — OCD, while raising eight kids under 13 is a massive war. But I know from the depth of my heart, God will never burden a soul more than it can bear.

Sometimes though, the battles we fight mentally can rain hard on us. We must find and seek ways to help us to swim through the struggles, the pain, the heartbreak, the doubts that go along with the emotions and feelings we can’t find words to describe.

Imagination — my mental rehearsal. I travel, leave all the walls around me, and make this journey an exciting one that fires me up.

Since I was a kid, one of my affirmations would be: “I am a soldier, a fighter.”

I’d imagine running behind my brother Khabib when I start my 5 miles run on the treadmill every morning. It’s a powerful mind hack. Suddenly my energy level changes. My body I was dragging to get on the treadmill finally says, I am all in, thank you, let’s do this thang.

Excitements start to grow like a flourishing tree because I am mentally rehearsing to run behind a champion. Now here’s the golden secret many people don’t know:

Your brain can’t tell the difference between thoughts and real-life events. For example, my brain thinks my mental rehearsal with khabib is happening right now though it’s not happening in real life. Isn’t that mind-boggling powerful?

Early in my life, I had no clue whatsoever about this fascinating thing about our brain. Recently I came across Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Instagram page, and ever since, I’ve become a raving fan of his works and teachings. I’ve learned from his wisdom how magnificent is the power of thoughts and how it can ignite real transformation inside us.

I’d get this boost of uplifting motivation to push through and knock out all the limiting beliefs and any barriers that come my way. I repeat what my brother Khabib said, “When Allah with you, nobody can beat you, nobody, you have to believe this”. The rush of energy I get by that statement it’s an unbeatable beast.

So now my mindset starts to shift because my energy level it’s on cloud nine and it finds ways to get creative, bring solutions for me to blow out of the water the workout I am doing.

And it finds the way to shut all the negative voices inside my head that say, you are sleep deprived, you are exhausted, take a break, please stop… it’s ENOUGH!

We Are Incredibly Blessed

We have a Perfect Creator who wants us to win. It’s through His grace, and blessings that I am able to do the things that will help me level up to reach the next level of the best version of me.

Dear Gems, here’s my message to you: Who’s got you handcuffed not to join me? Come fly with me, join, copy what I do, add your spice to it, your signature wonders, and make it memorable.
