My Medium Earnings for “2023”

Despite my long-standing readership on Medium spanning several years as a reader of Medium articles, it was only a revelation that struck me a couple of months ago — the realization that Medium offers a platform where one can not only share content but also generate income through writing.

How Ignorant am I? :(

How much did I make for the year 2023?

A whopping 13.44$. That's great, isn't it? I know many have made much much more on Medium in 2023. For someone who started his journey on November 30th, exactly a month back this ain’t bad, right? For me its great. I’m happy 😙

The lamentable aspect of this situation lies in the geographical constraints I face — residing in Europe, I find myself subject to the rather formidable 30% tax imposition.

Uncertain of any viable means to overcome this fiscal challenge, I am open to any insights or solutions that you, my esteemed readers / followers, might possess. Please help me!!

Adding to the complexity, there’s the necessity to convert the earnings from USD to EUR.

Considering these factors, it’s anticipated that my net earnings for December would amount to approximately 8.5 Euros.

To provide a transparent overview of this financial scenario, I’ve taken the liberty of creating a quick conversion using Excel. This calculation factors in the 30% tax deduction and the subsequent conversion from USD to EUR, offering a comprehensive understanding of the financial outcome.
