Other Doors
My Matrix World

I live in a matrix world
I’m here, I’m there,
I’m everywhere
But never really anywhere
Always looking in
from the outside
And out from the inside.
People who
Think like me
See like me
Feel like me
Are three-dimensional.
We cannot ignore
What we see
What we feel
Our emotions
Our sadness
Our compassion
Our joy
Are very strong and deep.
People who
Do not notice
Who do not see
And do not feel
Are two-dimensional,
Their eyes a reflected deflection.
When you look into
The eyes of three-d people
You look into
Their heart and soul,
And they, into yours.
Sometimes there are chance encounters with your fellow men and women which although fleeting, bring about a feeling of connectedness; difficult to explain as you are complete strangers. Maybe the woman behind the counter who you are handing your money to, for bought goods. Eyes meet and there is an understanding, a sympathy, an empathy. Just that, and then you part. I love these moments, knowing that in our world there are soulmates from all walks of life, ages, nationalities. People who understand what life is all about.
