Nature prompt for December 2nd week:
My Majestic Sunset Beauty, I Cannot Resist Singing Your Praise

There is nothing so beautiful as the sight of a glorious sunset. No matter how upsetting my day has been, a sunset changes my mood. Of all the wonders of nature, it never ceases to inspire mankind. Just look at the poems and songs written about her.
Whenever I notice a dramatic sunset I’m uplifted in spirit. It can take away the drabness of a city. But the sunset evenings I admire most are over a body of water. When the calm surface of a lake reflects a blazing sky, my heart soars. My lips cannot stop the expression of AWE that escapes.

It becomes a spiritual moment, reminding me of the goodness of God. I sense that all is right with the world. Any stress and worry roll off my shoulders. Such brilliant colors bathe me in warmth and feelings of love. And I know there is nothing to fear. I am at peace.

Your tableau grounds me. I know I am part of the whole fabric of life. I’m reminded that simple things in nature are often the most inspirational. God gives the sunset to us for our enjoyment.

“A sunset is the sun’s fiery kiss to the night.”― Crystal Woods
Sunsets produce positive emotions. Romantic feelings arise and deepen the love people have for each other. Often couples express affection toward one another while watching a sunset? How many marriage proposals occur during a sunset?

Interesting facts about sunsets
The setting sun symbolizes peace, harmony, and the promise of renewal in many cultures.
Sunset colors are more brilliant than sunrise colors. That is because evening air contains more particles to reflect the light.
The sun’s rays contain all the colors of a rainbow. The short wavelengths of blue & green scatter in evening air. That’s why the longer wavelengths of red and orange are dominant in sunsets.
As the Sun drops below the horizon, light is cast into the upper atmosphere. That sunlight reflects off the clouds which enhances the beauty of a sunset.
Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of heaven — John Lubbock
