My Love For Hallmark Movies
Who doesn’t know Hallmark? I’ve known the company for the wonderful postcards. Sending them to my grandparents. They always loved these cards. I loved writing the cards too.
But about five years ago, maybe six or seven, I don’t remember, I have discovered that Hallmark also produces movies. I don’t know exactly when, but probably around 2010 or 2011, maybe later. I really don’t know anymore. But I like them a lot, the concept is simple and cheesy.
The concept is love and more love. I love the concept of love. Even when I don’t feel loved. It gives me hope, don’t ask me why. It’s just a feeling Hallmark gives her audience. At least I feel it.
Thank you, Hallmark!
In all those years they’re making movies, there are a lot of movies been made. They have themes throughout the holidays. Like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Summer, Autumn, Spring, Winter, Halloween, you just name it what holiday theme they use to make their movies. But the main theme through the festive season holidays is love. People getting together, fall in love, love for the family and love for their friends. Anything just what is love.
I am so delightful they have this concept. It is a low key with great actors and actresses. Mostly, it is very sentimental. I love it. I can feel their emotions. I always cry when a character is very emotional or tell an emotional story. Of course, I know it, is played well by actors and actresses. But still…
They have the same collection of actors and actresses in their poule, I believe. So, all of them know the strengths and weaknesses of each other when they are working together. I’m not sure if that is a good sign, but at least they know each other. They know how to play their parts and how they react to each other when acting.
It looks like an acting family to me.
I’ve also read about actors who were great in big a-list movies or a-list series, but the press is judging them that they were not good enough for being an a-list actor or actress, but what were the real reasons for them to leave that side of the acting world? Because of other side projects they’re doing and having less time to Oscar-winning movie roles? Maybe they are on this side of the acting world on purpose. Who knows.
We only will guess. And by guessing we’re making up stories to sell it. Then the rumors are going through the press. These rumors may not be true. And so on. Then there are lies that could be not undone. The image of the actor or actress is damaged.
I will say that we have to let them do what they love to do. Don’t judge them because they’re not an a-list actor or actress. They just have reasons why they’re with smaller companies. But is Hallmark a smaller company? I don’t think the actors and actresses are with smaller companies for not getting hired as an actor or actress next to Brad Pitt or Jennifer Aniston. Does it mean that the quality is bad? It’s a different genre, but it is definitely not bad quality. What good is, is not definable. That’s different for everyone.
Hallmark movies are incredibly cheesy, but that is fine for me. It doesn’t mean I don’t like the movies that get the Oscars or Emmy’s, it means that I’m having a wide movie interest.
Do you know what to hold to when watching these movies?
Hallmark also produces mysteries. I haven’t seen them, but I have seen some of the trailers.
