My Life In Photos — January 1 — 10, 2024
The photo-a-day challenge
I haven’t been keeping up with the photo-a-day challenge at the Weeds and Wildflowers publication like some others have, but I do take photos almost every single day.
January 1
Blooming Azaleas in southern Alabama. Trees and flowers are some of my favorite things to photograph and they always make great pictures.
January 2
The neighbor lady gave me these huge rolls of 100% alpaca wool to crochet with. She told me she paid over $300 but just had never used it. She said I could have it if I crocheted her a scarf. I did. And then I crocheted myself one too.
January 3
January 3rd was a stay-at-home game and cocktail day. Grey Goose Vodka and cranberry juice cocktails hit the spot.
January 4 and 5, we stayed home, and I did not remember to take any pictures on either day.
January 6
I took enough pictures on this day to make up for the last two picture-free days.
First, we visited the Pensacola Lighthouse. We did not go into the museum at the foot of the lighthouse.
Second, we visited the National Naval Aviation Museum. I took a couple hundred photos at these two places.
January 7
We stayed home this day also, but I did remember to take a picture out the window. It was a beautiful sunny day in southern Alabama.
January 8
We stayed home again. We can’t go somewhere every day, so I took a photo of our kitchen area.
January 9
It stormed overnight, so today we went for a drive around the Gulf Shores area.
It was still windy and the waves were ferocious after the storm.
January 10
We stayed home again today and I made the frozen banana bark recipe going around on TikTok.
And there you have our first ten days of January in pictures.
Daily life might seem boring, but there is always something beautiful to take a picture of. The hard part is deciding which one or two photos to share. Especially on the days that I take a lot of them.
