My Journey of Becoming a Writer
I’m a reader by choice which helps me write

I’m going to share a very special timeframe of my life; it is both encouraging for people who are struggling to be independent at a young age and an emotional roller coaster for those who have been through the same.
After reading this story, please correct me if I’m wrong in saying that my story is slightly different from many you have already read here or on another blog because it does not have tips for writers but a story of real struggle.

Back in my post-graduate study times, when I was first assigned a research task that required academic research and I did not have access to any tools required i.e. PC, internet, and any financial resources.
But thanks to the supervisor who assigned the task in group settings which made it feasible for me, as we all know that in group projects, tasks are divided and assigned to all members depending upon their expertise.

As I did not have any tools and resources my group decided to give me all journal articles in print form so I would read them and come up with a draft in 24 hours. It was a bundle of dozen articles but just to get the full marks I did that and luckily our supervisor liked the draft, obviously, the whole credit cannot be given to me as there was a guy who did the research and came up with the right articles. There were fellows who paid for printing :)
Long story short, I did that complete research article which was later published in a high-impact factor journal all alone in terms of writing. Again, lack of resources interrupted and my group paid the publication fee and the credit was equally divided. Since then, I realized that even with difficult circumstances I did not feel the task a burden not for once and right after the publication senior and junior fellows started consulting me for writing their research projects and I did that all for free…
No! it was not all for free they paid me by paying for my lunch, my stay at the hostel, and some other things :)

It was back in 2013 when I did my first academic writing project and since then have worked on thousands of research projects like writing complete projects, providing consultancy, and helping students and professionals around the world to write business reports.
This is for the very first time, I’m opening up my story on any forum but after reading so many articles of personal stories on Medium, I got the courage to write my story.

So, the take from this piece for the new writers, students, and those who are struggling can be:
· Your difficult times are supposed to teach you a skill or a life lesson as I learned that no one helps you at times of need so be independent and become the one who helps
· A task that may be a burden, for now, is going to be a paid project for tomorrow or a source to earn a living
· The most important part that I always tell myself is that if there were no difficult times, I could not have been the independent person I’m today!
Good luck to all who are struggling!
Cheers to those who succeed!
