“My Husband Wanted An Open Marriage Until I Got Laid” Is My New Favorite Reddit Genre

I can’t get enough.

Some of you might be familiar with the TikTok format that is basically reading stories from Reddit: Confessions, advice-seekers, tips, life hacks, ghost stories.

This is the story of a husband who wanted an open marriage and enjoyed the perks until his wife asked him to watch the kids so she could have a little fun. He was spiteful and refused so she hooked up during her lunch break. He was angry and suddenly became more attentive and wanted to close the relationship up again.

Then there’s this story about a man who opened his marriage because he had a crush on a coworker, but whoops, she didn’t want him back, and now his wife is delighted with all her options.

Or how about this one where the man was enjoying the open relationship and how much his wife was taking better care of herself…until he read texts on her phone and found out a younger stud wanted to knock her up in his own bed.

It is hands down my new favorite genre: Dude forgets that his wife is still desirable, for some reason doesn’t understand if he’s bored with the sex, she probably is, too, and wants to open up the marriage…only to find she fares way better, and doesn’t wanna close it up again.

I’m absolutely 100% here for these women who rediscover how sexy they are…and the clowns who realize they can’t put the genie back in the lamp.
