How Much I’ve Made from HubPages
I wasn’t expecting this result.

I have been a HubPages member since 2019, but I wasn’t active on the platform during this time.
I set up my profile and read the stories of other writers; instead of publishing work. There are a lot of listicle articles on the site, and I like this content style.
Anyway, in September, I read about some writers who were trying HubPages, so I took part in the challenge. I published one article per day on my profile for the month of September.
The initial reviews I read about HubPages weren’t the best. One reviewer said it took him two years to make the $50 withdrawal amount. This prospect sounded pretty dismal.
But I kept reading. I found a post where someone mentioned the queen of HubPages, Susannah Birch. She is a veteran on the platform and makes decent money from her library of content.
So, I published one 700-word self-help article each day. I wrote about love, relationships, and self-improvement. Here are my results for September.
My HubPages Earning Results

95% of this amount came from one article. So, HubPages is hard money. But some people make good money on this site. Looking back, I realize their approach differed from mine.
I got discouraged and avoided the platform in October. But, I do plan to try again. When I restart in November, I will change my strategy.
The Community
If you’re new to HubPages, the active community there will support you. I got around two comments per post from fellow members.
I am happy that all the comments I received were positive. That’s great. It’s not a big deal if they are negative, HubPages gives you the option to approve or deny a comment before it is visible on your article.

How I Will Change My Strategy
I’ll be doing product reviews. HubPages give members access to an Amazon Associate Affiliate Account.
The Amazon Affiliate account is free and simple to activate. You only have to click yes to active your Amazon Program. Then when adding products to your articles, use the Amazon box at the side.
I tried using it before I wrote this article. And it was simple enough. The only rule is for you to use 300 words per product. This guideline ensures you talk about the product. And give potential buyers an in-depth product review.
I would review incredible finds I have bought from Amazon because of TikTok videos. If someone buys the product through my link, I could earn a small percentage of the sale. This money would boost my overall earnings.
These types of articles may also perform better on Pinterest. I will have to wait and see how it goes. Anyway, the first month wasn’t great. I do plan on trying again, though.
How was your experience with HubPages? Did you try it? Did you quit the platform or keep going?
