My Heart’s Haven

Then —
You cradled me, held me tight within you I could hide.
You rocked me, made me sleep unnoticed buried inside.
You enveloped me, safely covered to let go cry and cry.
You fed me, helped me discover lucid dreams ideas to try.
You accepted me, beneath the moon sultry gazes rising tide.
You swayed me, made me feel sheer joy comfort and pride.
You reflected me, carried me home kissed in sunlight days alone.
You loved me, accepted my flaws healed the hurt pain overthrown.
Now —
I take you, like a mother washes and folds her first baby.
I smell you, reminisce the time I considered death as maybe.
I cherish you, for painting rainbow views whet with hope.
I adore you, swinging my heart by a thousand threads upon that slope.
I treasure you, share our stories some master them others forget.
I hug you, feel your weight still no holes since we met.
I talk of you, let people learn that nature heals albeit slow.
I respect you, hanging for hours my humble hammock for all you know.
