WRITING PROMPT #17

My Grandmother

Think about a person in your life. Imagine them sitting next to you. How do you feel?

Andreea Popa

If I had my grandmother sitting next to me, I would tell her everything that’s been happening to me over the past 25 years since she left this earth.

Has it been that long? And has it only been that long? Such a lot has happened. I’d tell her everything like I used to and listen to her talking about her younger life. I’d record our conversation so I’d be able to write about her life. I’d ask how her brother was actually her nephew and how she felt about that.

I’d tell her about the world and the parts of it I’d seen and tell her about my kids, my new grandson and how she’s a great-great-grandmother.

Granny, I miss you so much.
