I earned $7.67 in 3 Weeks — Medium
I joined the Medium platform in 2018 November, when I was working as an Intern at a tech company. We were all encouraged to join and write on Medium to build up a good online presence. Thus began my journey at Medium. I was not eligible to join the Medium Partner Program back then because of my location. Recently I moved to a new country — which was in the eligible country list, and since I had some free time on my hands, I thought I would give the Partner Program a go.
I was accepted to the MPP 3 weeks back, on the 11th of January 2023. Since then, for a duration of 3 weeks I was able to earn $7.67. My very first earnings on Medium. I know it’s not a lot but going into this with the goal of hitting $1, I was ecstatic.
Lets talk stats…
- I wrote 11 stories during this time, 6 on Power BI and the rest on various other general topics
- I had written around 9 stories on Machine Learning before joining the Partner program. After joining, I changed most of those to “metered” to make them eligible to get paid for
- My highest performing story was “Creating a pop up window in Power BI” with $1.96
- The second highest performing story was “A Beginners Guide to Random Forest Regression” with $1.06, which I think is worth mentioning because I published this in 2018 November — more than 4 years back
- When I joined the MPP I had 270+ organic followers which has now increased to 291
In summary, I got,
- $4.74 for stories on Power BI
- $1.89 for stories on Machine Learning
- $1.04 for stories on general topics
Hoping that the next months earnings will get even better! To all those new to Medium, I would recommend you to join the Partner Program. If you are into writing, might as well make a few bucks out of it right?!
