My First Month On Medium Earnings Report!

The results are in now! I wanted to wait until March 1st to post my February results since one day can make a big difference. As it turns out, I made more than usual yesterday so I am glad I waited to post!

Initially, my goal was $40 and 300 followers for my first full month on Medium.

Seeing how I made $2 my first day on Medium, I realized I could set the bar to at least $35. I aimed for $40 to challenge myself.

Some articles of mine didn’t do well. Some days I only made $0.50. That happens to everyone, even the people who make $500+ per month!

You’ll notice in my stats that I had some great days (I think I got boosted because one post alone made $10) and some not-great days. I have enjoyed every day on here despite having low reads some days.

Now for the earnings!

I have more than doubled my earnings goals for February.

Here’s how much I made for the whole month:

I made $98.50 in February! Wahoo!

I’m amazed people can really make this kind of money on here.

Including the last two days in January (I signed up on January 28) I have made a little over $100 overall.

Please keep in mind I was working about 3x harder than I usually do with my other blog that doesn’t earn me money. I have spent hours reading other people’s articles, interacting, researching, and writing posts.

Being unemployed for two months, this is a motivating number. I won’t be getting a full pay cheque until the end of March so this little boost will mean a lot to me when we get paid out around the 15th.
