My First Month On Medium

Happy first month!

So, it’s been a month since I posted my first article on Medium, and what can I say? It’s been a journey.

I vividly remember the end of December when I published my first article. I must’ve rewritten it a dozen times.

There I was, contemplating whether to hit that ‘publish’ button. Being the perfectionist I am, I wanted every word to be just right before revealing it to the world.

Yet, on January 3rd, I summoned the courage and sent it out into the ether. And from that moment on, it’s been a rollercoaster.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine pocketing $80.71 by the end of the month. Initially, I set my sights much lower, thinking if I could scrape together a mere $5, I’d count it a victory (just enough to cover my Medium subscription).

I gained 961 followers and 26 email subscribers this month, exceeding my expectations. It’s incredibly motivating to know that there are people out there who enjoy reading my stories. That alone keeps me motivated to keep writing and sharing more.

And don’t get me started on the claps. Some of my articles clocked over 1000 claps.

Anyway, as the month wraps up, I have written 20 articles. This one makes it 21.
