My First Month In the Medium Partner Program — Wrap Up
I’m super happy with my success and so grateful for the support!
It’s so crazy to think that I have only been writing on Medium for 2 months now. In that time I have made a home for myself here, and have made so many wonderful and supportive connections. I still can’t believe that platforms like this exist when I was banging my head against the wall in places like Facebook for so many years.
Goodbye drama!
Hello beautiful people!
I feel that all roads have been leading me here, and I have spent the past 4 years collecting stories, photographs, and experiences, just to arrive here to share them with you all. I am beyond grateful for having discovered Medium and can see so clearly that it is now the glue that is sticking together all of my hard work so far on this journey.

I was accepted into the Medium Partner Program (MPP) on March 8th after a somewhat unsure start. At first, they didn’t accept my application, but after a misunderstanding, it was thankfully sorted out in a few days.
However, I now realize that getting accepted into the program was not the most important part of this Medium journey. The most important part has been finding people that are interested in the same things that I am, are also fellow writers, and of course, are supportive and encouraging.
Making money is certainly secondary to all of this!

When I joined the program, I had 100 followers, of course. Now, less than one month later, I am proud to say that the number has increased to over 400! It’s just thrilling to know that these are people who mostly are interested in my life and my writing.
Thank you so much to all of you who have joined me here! I am thrilled to have you along for my life journey!
I have wrestled with whether or not I would share my first month's earnings with you all, but as I am pretty proud of my efforts, I decided to do so. It’s not an incredible amount of money, but I can see how it will grow moving forward.
It sure beats the hard journey of getting 1000 subscribers and 4000 thousand hours of watch time on YouTube before earning anything!
I also do enjoy reading other people's articles about what they earned and how this journey has been for them, so maybe others are interested in mine as well.

I have been very consistent with my writing and have now published over 60 articles since starting on January 31st! Every day I am writing something, whether it be long or short, and I think that consistency has paid off. I have also been a voracious reader and really enjoy sinking myself into other people's stories as well. I have learned so much and really feel enriched by some of the articles that I have read here on Medium.
Although I had one day where I felt uninspired, most days I can’t wait to sit down and write, directing my energy on getting my stories out.
So for the month of March, here are my stats.
I have earned $30.08
I have had 4784 views
I have had 2339 reads
I have had 855 fans.

These are my top 5 paying stories:

I would like to thank a few people, in particular, for publishing my stories in their publications. I do believe by doing this, you have helped me not only grow my audience, but you have helped me to grow as a writer and you have also inspired me greatly.
So thank you to Dennett, Jane Frost (Jane Grows Garden Rooms), Robert Ralph, Warren Patterson, KiKi Walter, Jason Edmunds, Quy Ma, Bruce Walker, Louise Peacock and Randy Runtsch for publishing and sharing my stories with others.
And thank you to all of YOU who are reading, commenting, and clapping for my stories! I am truly so grateful to have found you all and I look forward to many more years of cultivating friendships and offering support right back to you!
Onward and upward!
xo Jill
