My Favorite Motivational Quotes

And why they inspire me to reach my full potential.

Envato Elements Licensed Photo Image F8W7MT2VBH

I look for an inspiring quote to post each day on social media that speaks to me. My hope is by doing so I can share a little ray of inspirational sunshine with others that just might have a positive ripple effect. Meanwhile, I re-read the quote throughout the day, and it motivates me to complete the tasks that I set my intention on that particular morning. Let’s get started and I will share some of my favorites.

Why are Monday’s My Favorite Day of The Week?

This may seem to go against the grain for many of you so let me explain my logic. I absolutely love Monday because it sets the tone for the rest of the week. Life is what you make it. Everything is a choice. Monday is a clean slate full of unlimited opportunities. I like to start the week of with positive momentum and let that build and carry throughout the week rather than starting the week with dread and living for the weekend.

“Two things in life you are in total control over are your attitude and your effort.” ~Billy Cox

“In order to create success and money in your life, your intent and focus must be clear. You can then let the universe take care of thee details.” ~Deepak Chopra, M.D.

“Begin the week with momentum and you’ll look back with great satisfaction on all you achieved.” ~ Skip Prichard

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” ~ Rumi

I Like to look at Tuesday for Transformation

We are never too old, and it is never too late to reinvent our life. We are each, quite literally, the author of our life. When I am not happy with the way my life is going, I know it is time to yell plot twist and change the characters by adding or deleting them, writing a new chapter, and trying new things continuously until life feels right. So, my Tuesday quotes generally focus on self-growth or transformation.

“The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself.” ~ Deepak Chopra

“Allow the fires of transformation to burn away all that doesn’t serve you.” ~ Heather Ash Amara

“The world is changed by your example not by your opinion.” ~ Paulo Coelho

“Sometimes what you are most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.” ~ Author Unknown

Wednesday is for Wellness

I use the words health and wellness interchangeably to embrace living in a balanced way in body mind and spirit. I like to remind myself and others to really check in on Wednesday, midweek and declutter the mind, take a nice deep cleansing breath, and release some pent-up stress. Stress is unfortunately an unavoidable part of life, but how we cope with it makes all the difference in living a healthy joyful life.

“Your mind will always believe everything you tell it. Remember to feed it LOVE and kindness.” ~ Author Unknown

“The secret to living well and longer is eat half, walk double, laugh triple, and love without measure.” ~Tibetan Proverb

“Care about what other people think and you will always be a prisoner.” ~Lao Tzu

“Do not judge by appearances; a rich heart may be under a poor coat.” ~ Scottish Proverb

“Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep, really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.” ~ Ernest Hemingway

Thankful Thursdays

I practice gratitude every single day, but Thursday’s theme in general for me is being thankful for all that I have as I ease into the weekend. I have been fortunate enough to create the life I love, so for me, the weekend really is not much different than any other day except that my friends and family are more available.

“Expect nothing and appreciate everything.” ~ TinyBuhhda.com

“It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to has power over you if you allow it.” ~ Author Unknown

Fun Fact Friday

I have been known to research and provide random fun fact so lately my Friday quotes have revolved around that theme because I think it is always fun to keep learning and expanding.

“One minute of anger weakens the immune system for 4–5 hours. One minute of laughter boosts the immune system for 24 hours.” ~ The Minds Journal

I love to spend Saturdays doing the things I enjoy with the people I love or simply by myself. I love random adventures, spontaneous road trips, spending days cooking, or hiking outdoors. Each weekend looks a bit different in my house. But almost every weekend involves laughter and enjoyment.

Other times this means a boozy brunch and day out with friends. Either way it is a day set aside for me to do anything I want.
