My eyes tell a story of sadness Of loss But it doesn’t define or hinder me, it’s just a part of my story My history steeped in the tradition of a family lost Puddles of tears over years filling ponds and lakes with scattered memories but that water is not full of sadness, it’s full of all of the happiness too A pool of remembrance for those I loved and those I lost
