My earworm is your earworm.

I hope so, anyway because I have some dreamy music that I’d love to share with you, and I can’t get it out of my head.

Running errands the other day, a song played on WXRT-FM, “Chicago’s finest rock station.” Called “Mine Forever,” by an L.A. Indie band called “Lord Huron,” it knocked me out and affected me on such a visceral level that my whole body was humming.

With a little bit of The Everly Brothers, The Beach Boys, and a hefty helping of the “San Francisco Sound” (think Haight-Ashbury), the tune brings to mind hot summer nights filled with love, lust, and longing.

The refrain, “In my mind, your mine forever,” smacks of obsession while the chorus and rhythmic guitar strains bring a sultriness to the mix.

Again, this is one dreamy jam.
