My Dual Self
O child of Air and Water

Straddled here between Gemini and Cancer a strange mix of air and water — I transform become frigid snowflakes in winter See my uniqueness? Each moment of each day I am different from the minute, the day before In spring, I become the wind and rain — I herald in the Earth’s rebirth, and my own See how I’ve grown? Just a little each year By summer’s heat, I am wild whirl-winds stirring up dust and rolled waves upon beaches See how majestic I’ve become? Powerful! Yet by Autumn, I am tame once more — gentle winds to release leaves from trees and cool rain to begin the process of death See how I replenish the Earth and my psyche?
