My Birthday Tribute To Illumination

Let’s celebrate!

I am thrilled to be part of Illumination’s third birthday celebrations today. I joined this illustrious group of publications as an editor back in December 2021.

My first post on Illumination was published by Josh Balerite Acol with a sweet private note and shared on Twitter ❤

I am proud to be part of a thriving community of writers and editors on the publication’s Slack channel where there’s always an enthusiastic conversation going on, sharing information, discussing policies, clarifying issues, and above all, supporting one another as we tackle our drafts queue with a commitment to get our valued writers’ words out into the world.

As you know, Illumination Integrated Publications has grown exponentially in the past three years under the loving leadership of Dr Mehmet Yildiz, one of the gentlest, kindest, and most respectful people I’ve ever met. I often think he should offer a course on patience, serenity, and time management!

I remember, soon after I joined the team, how excited I was when he published my editor profile.

A prolific writer himself, Dr Mehmet Yildiz is super supportive of his team of editors and is inspiring to work with. Ever-appreciative, he acknowledges every message promptly and with kindness and makes it a pleasure for us to want to get in the queue every day.

Did you know the editorial team works around the clock from different time zones?

I am fond of my team. I love my work as an editor with Illumination, Illumination’s Mirror, Illumination Book Chapters, Lampshade of Illumination, Illumination Gaming, and Illumination Videos and Podcasts.

Being an editor is fulfilling in so many ways. Reading the work of diverse and fabulous writers has inspired me to write better.
