November of 2008. I’ve receive the news over Skype. Its positive!

For a few seconds I remain in a half-seated position with a half-smile across my face. From the other side my future wife is asking herself: “what the hell is he laughing about?!”

It is not that I don’t understand what was just said! It is more that my brain and heart are already gone but my face remained behind! I can already see the future. I don’t have a job and I still haven’t finished my PhD and in a few months I will become a father!

I’ve done the best mistake of my life some weeks before in the thermal baths of Lazise.
