I haven’t exercised properly in years. In my previous home, a large flat, I used to get around on the floor on my arse doing a sort of sideways hop. I used to move quite fast. In my younger years I was super healthy, rarely ill [barring the occasional kidney stone] and in my parents house my bedroom was on the first floor — but there is no way that I can climb stairs now. My arms could hold my own body weight and I could climb onto chairs etc, as this video shows:

Today I walked a full circle, around ‘the block’ twice — starting in the kitchen, then dining room, living room, utility area then back again to the kitchen. The distance is approx. 61 feet — or 20.3333 yards or 18.5928 meters. As you can see, by the end of the second lap I was totally f___d.
I am seriously out of shape.
But I’m hoping to improve daily and build up the laps and my speed. I’ll let you know how I get on.
